Welcome to the real estate recap for home sales and prices in the wonderful city of El Segundo California. This past month was fairly
typical but a bit slower for the actual number of closed sales with only 7 home, condo and townhome sales closing in October 2021. The average “list” price of the homes that closed escrow during the month was $1,167,357 with the average “sold” price at $1,170,857 meaning that homes generally sold higher than the asking price. Average days on market was a very short 32 before going into escrow and the average price per foot was $885. September’s highest price of the month in El Segundo was $2,851,000. This was a beautiful Mediterranean style
single family residence built in 2005 and offering 5 bedrooms and 4 baths with a spacious floorplan with over 3,800 square feet on two levels . The home was located directly across from Center Street School so given the somewhat challenging location this is a very impressive number. The home offered a nice sized 6,500+ foot lot with a saltwater pool and spa but not much of a yard. Take a look below!

Welcome to the real estate recap for El Segundo in September. It was another very good month in this Southern California coastal city. There were 16 home sales which was down a bit from the 20 a year earlier. The median home price was $1,546,000 which was considerably higher than the median sold price of $1,247,000 in September 2020. Homes averaged only 15 days on the market before going into escrow. Lying just east of El Segundo, the city of Hawthorne offers an affordable alternative to the higher priced homes of many of the South Bay’s cities and neighborhoods.
