Take a look at the the home sales numbers in El Segundo for the month of March 2021 compared with March a year earlier. Inventory was definitely down with only 8 active listings but sales were definitely up with 14 closed home sales in El Segundo in March. The median sales price was $1,342,000.
El Segundo saw an impressive number of homes sell for over $2,000,000 in 2020. It wasn’t all that long ago that the $2.0+ price point was very rarified air but the market has come a long way. Now $3,000,000+ is a possibility as clearly indicated by the record sale of 709 Pine at $3,250,000…..over $700K higher than the next closest sale. 709 Pine was a real “estate” type property with a large home, large manicured property and definitely unlike any others. It offered 5 bedrooms, 4 baths, a bit over 4,700 square feet on an oversized 10,000+ foot lot. It sold for full price after a brief 2 weeks on the market.

Welcome to the 2020 El Segundo real estate market year in review. What a year it was with 129 home sales during the year. The median sold price was a very impresssive $1,380,000 and average price per square foot was $721 which was a big jump from the $656 in 2019. The average days o market was a brief 32.
Happy new year to our friends and clients in El Segundo and all of the South Bay. While it was a tough year for just about everything else, it was a great year for home sales and home prices in one of the best communitiesin all of Southern California.
